Michael has over 30 years of experience as a building, life safety and accessibility code consultant in support of both public and private commercial development projects.  A portion of that experience includes 10 years as an architectural project manager to oversee the design, preparation and submission of architectural design submittal packages for various projects throughout the United States. His primary experience includes a concentration in fire and life safety code consulting, ADA / accessibility analysis, the preparation of fire protection reports, AHJ liaison and permitting assistance, third-party plan reviews, and performance-based code solutions including: alternate methods, code variances and appeals. Michael is known for having a keen ability to find creative and efficient, value-engineering solutions to complex design challenges.

Michael is the founding president and chief executive officer of PCNA Consulting Group (founded 2009). In that time, he has overseen the organic growth of the firm to more than 15 employees with office in both Las Vegas and Seattle. While overseeing the overall management, growth and development of the firm, Michael continues to be directly involved in all aspects of project management, design, code research, adoption, application and inspections. His involvement in both local and national code development committees affiliated with the International Code Council has allowed him to develop strong relationships with local municipal building and fire department staff throughout the country. Most recently, Michael served as Co-Chair of the General Committee to adopt the 2024 IBC in Southern Nevada.
