Nightclubs

 Project responsibilities included; providing full ADA/accessibility design review and site inspections, egress design drawings, construction phasing access diagrams, and peer review of the fire protection report for this 250,000 sf, 5-story, $40M nightclub and restaurant located at the main rotunda entrance to the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. 

  Project responsibilities included; providing fire alarm and sprinkler system analysis to determine requirements for the reconditioning and renovation of the existing San Tropez Hotel lobby and bar salon. Determinations made on-site during construction to resolve fire department inspection concerns resulted in significant cost savings to the client, as a result the project was completed well under the budget. 

  Project responsibilities included; providing architectural plans-check reviews, preparation of egress design drawings, and accessibility analysis for this 2-story, restaurant and bar renovation located within an existing, historic office building. 

  Project responsibilities included; providing fire protection engineering, code consultant, accessibility analysis, and egress design for this 30,000 sf nightclub/comedy club venue located inside the Crystals at the MGM City Center along the world-famous Las Vegas Strip. This project was ultimately not constructed at this facility. 

 Project responsibilities included; providing architectural plans-check reviews, preparation of egress design drawings, tenant improvement fire protection reports, and accessibility analysis for an interior renovation to the existing, 156,000 SF casino floor of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV. This project consisted of both a renovation to the existing KENO playing area as well as a complete relocation of the casino’s Poker room. 

  Project responsibilities included; fire engineering consultancy, carrying out egress modeling to evaluate facility egress capacity, and permitting the increased occupant loads. The egress modeling was carried out using Pathfinder software. 

  Project responsibilities included; fire engineering consultancy and liaison with the Fire Brigade as the Authority Having Jurisdiction, investigating and specifying an alternative means of smoke detection compliant with the performance standards required by the Building Code of Australia, and referenced Standards, while permitting The MET to host events with full engagement of smoke machines without activating spurious alarms and disrupting business continuity. 

   Project responsibilities included; providing fire engineering consultancy for the refurbishment of this iconic Australian landmark hotel by coordinating the reduction of fire resistance levels (FRLs) to floors and loadbearing elements. 

    Project responsibilities included; providing both building approvals and fire engineering design assistance for this nearly 20,000 sf of floor space, Marquee houses three distinct spaces within the one venue to cater for different tastes and moods. Philip Chun provided both building approvals and fire engineering design assistance to the project.  

    Project responsibilities included; the preparation and submittal of a tenant improvement fire protection report, egress analysis, and building code plans-check review for this 20,000 square feet renovation project of the existing host lounge/reception area to receive potential time-share buyer clients during their facility introduction.
